At our Kyneton workshop, located 1 hour north of Melbourne we offer a beginners shoemaking course.
The course runs for 4 consecutive Sundays from 10am to 4pm with a break for lunch.
We cover measuring feet, fitting a last, design, pattern making, cutting, sewing, lasting and finishing a cemented shoe. Many styles of shoe or boot are available to make including a lace up derby shoe, an elastic-sided boot and a t-bar sandal or pump. There are many options to customise the basic design to how you like.
The cost for the course is $600 including materials and they run every 5 weeks. Places are limited to 4 people per course. The next course starts on May 28th and the one after that on July the 2nd.
