At our Kyneton workshop, located 1 hour north of Melbourne we offer beginners and advanced shoemaking courses.
Most courses run for 5 days and can be booked in consecutively or over a series of weeks.
In our beginners course we cover measuring feet, fitting a last, design, pattern making, cutting, sewing, lasting and finishing a cemented shoe. Many styles of shoe or boot are available to make including a lace up derby shoe, an elastic-sided boot and a t-bar sandal or pump. There are many options to customise the basic design to how you like.
Advanced courses cover different shoe construction styles and require you to have completed the beginners course or have other shoemaking experience.
The cost for the course is $700 including materials and they run all the time. Places are limited to 2 students at any one time. Contact James on (03) 5422 2659 or via the contact form here, for further information.
PLEASE NOTE: Courses are currently on hold while we move the workshop and will restart in May.
